This year’s edition of the prestigious international tournament „Baltic Hoop“ is set to be very strong, with Katrin Taseva and Erika Zafirova participating for Bulgaria, along with Salome Pazhava (Georgia), Zohra Aghamirova (Azerbaijan), Ana Luiza Filiorianu (Romania), team Ukraine’s young hope Vlada Nikolchenko, her debut after a serious injury is making Alina Harnasko, along with her teammate Julia Evchik (Belarus). In the junior competition „Riga Spring“, which will follow the event format of the Europeans in Guadalajara (2-4 gymnasts per country have to perform a whole of 8 routines), from Bulgaria we’ll see Anna Kelman and Tatyana Volozhanina (Elizabet Yovcheva and Veronika Lyubchova are injured), which will compete against some of the strongest gymnasts from Ukraine (Viktoriia Onopriienko and Krystyna Pohranychna), Belarus (Nastassya Makutsevich and Darya Marchanka), Azerbaijan (Darya Frashbafshakhriyari and Arzu Jalilova) and 8 more countries. At the finals on sunday we’ll see the best 8 on each apparatus (max. 2 per country). And after the end of the tournament begins „Miss Elegance“ – the participants will perform their galas and will be judged by painters, sculptors and other creators and artists, whose works will be gracing the hall during the 2 competitive days. Every year the winner of the „Miss Elegance“ prize receives the painting named „Rose“ by the latvian author Marija Brodele.
