However, doctors there are optimistic and Lera has very good chances of fully recovering.
„Hello, everyone. More and more questions have come up about where I am, why I’m not in the gym and not training with the girls. I’m filming this video so I can clear things up and you don’t have to guess anymore. I have been diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma. It’s a malignant and aggressive tumor, for which I’ll need a long and expensive treatment in Germany. I’ve been given very high chances of recovering, which is why I’m only asking for your support and faith in me, and if anyone happens to be able to help financially, the bank accounts will be under this video. Thank you for your attention, I love you all very much, and be healthy!“ is what Valeriya says in said video.
Yuzvyak was born on the 20th of August 1999 in Uzhgorod and has been a part of the Ukrainian national team since 2016. She’s won several medals with the country’s group, including 6 European championships medals (2 gold, 3 silver, 1 bronze), silver at the European Games in 2019, and bronze from the Worlds in 2018.
