Evgenia Medvedeva withdrew from 2018 World Figure Skating Championships in Milan (March 21-25). The Russian star has a doctor’s recommendation to rest. She is the last champion to withdraw from the competition. All winners from 2017 will not defend their titles.
According to the information from the Russian Federation, doctors have recommended four to eight weeks rest in order to prevent surgery to the leg that she injured in the Grand Prix. Stanislava Konstantinova, who finished 4th at the Junior Worlds in Sofia last week will be the reserve.
