Our dance couple Teodora Markova and Simon Daze debuted in the ISU Challenge Skating series, which are the second strongest competitions after the Grand Prix. The pair, who is preparing in Canada, finished 19th in Zagreb (Croatia) with 102.32 points. Teddy and Simon travelled with their coach Marie-France Dubreuil. This is their second race. At the moment, two Bulgarian dance teams (the other one is Mina Zdravkova and Christopher Davis) are eligible to participate in the European Championship in Moscow (Russia). The participant will be determined after tournament in Istanbul whre both teams will be presented.
In Zagreb top 3 is“ Ekaterina Bobrova / Dmitri Soloviev (Russia), Charlene Giugnard / Marko Fabbri (Italy) and Kaitlin Hawayek / Jean-Luc Baker (USA).
The podium of the ladies was occupied by Russian contestants. Women’s debutant Stanislava Konstantinova won with 199.68 points in front of Alisa Fedichkina and Elizaveta Tuktamysheva. „Sbornaya“ recorded first and second place in the pairs through Natalia Zabiiako / Alexander Enbert and Kristina Astakhova / Alexei Rogonov. Third are Americans Tarah Kayne and Daniel O’Shea.
It was also interesting for men. Morris Kvilalashvili (Georgia) won after being the sixth in the short program and gathered 236.67 points. Alexei Bichenko (Israel) finished second, and Arthur Dmitriev (Russia) was also on the podium. Dennis Ten (Kazakhstan), the first day leader, ended fourth.
